Indie software, built in the EU

Small team. Straight answers.

GrabTheSlot is a white-label online appointment booking platform for micro-businesses — salons, barbers, beauty studios, trainers and venues. Every business gets its own branded booking page, QR-code booking, automatic reminders and a flat, commission-free price. Built and hosted in the EU, GDPR-compliant.

─── The founder ───

Why I'm building this.

I'm Mészáros János, a software engineer from Hungary, and I build GrabTheSlot as a solo founder. The idea came from watching micro-businesses — the hairdresser, the trainer, the massage therapist — lose evenings to scheduling messages and lose money to no-shows, while the software offered to them was either an enterprise suite they'd never grow into or a marketplace that took a cut of every new client and kept the client relationship for itself.

GrabTheSlot is my answer: a booking page that belongs to the business — its name, its brand, its client list — at a flat price a one-person company can pay without thinking twice. Built in the EU, hosted in the EU, with GDPR taken seriously rather than mentioned in a footer.

─── The story so far ───

From grabit.hu to GrabTheSlot.

  1. Launched in Hungary

The product went live on the Hungarian market as Grabit (grabit.hu), with a full Hungarian feature set: three booking models, reminders, QR booking, an add-on shop.

  2. One brand for every market

GrabTheSlot became the international brand and entity home; the Hungarian site is migrating to grabtheslot.hu, with grabit.hu redirecting permanently.

  3. German market in preparation

grabtheslot.de is registered and the German launch set — localized content, EUR pricing, German legal pages — is in the works.
